Science City Braces Mansoc National

Stunning CLSU in its 100th Year!

Central Luzon State University, one of the pillars of the MANSOC National gave birth to its local organization in its 100th Year. It was really astonishing and amazing to see how the national organization grows very fast. From the conception of having a new local organization named to the national organization in April (during the Mansoc National Leadership Training & Region 3 Conference), the organizers got their accreditation from the huge University with less than 700 hectare of land right before the 1st semester commenced.

We must recognize the efforts of our Junior Adviser who’s also one of the directors of the national board & VP, Jan Michael C. Ordonio. Of course, success can also be attributed to our Regional Adviser for Region 1, Prof. Eleanor S. Allas and to the administration of their CBEA through their Dean. I can’t imagine the birth pains they undertook upon processing the said. Mansoc National would like also to air its gratitude to the new CLSU President as well as its Past President who has been very supportive to the organization. Thanks also to the Office of the Students Affairs and to the Student Council of CLSU.

By the way, Congratulations to our newly installed National Treasurer, Michael G. Camps!

Initial membership drive rose very fast not to mention the partner local organization who’s with us ever since. During the Provincial Seminar/Conference last September 13, 2007 in Araullo University, CLSU Mansoc National took their Oath in front of other Colleges & Universities with our National Adviser, Dr. Lemuel L. Magracia as the Inducting Officer and Speaker.

Congratulations to its first local President, Ms. Lyca! Congratulations also to our CLSU based members and officers.

A warm welcome to the family, GUYS!!

Mansoc at WANDERS of PAGCOR

CONNECTING MANSOC TO THE SOCIETY by Dr. Lemuel L. Magracia
It was really fun and enjoyable watching the stunning presentation of the Las Vegas & Chinese Performers in WANDERS, a project of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (PAGCOR). One thing I considered unforgettable was the pleasure I got in blending my family with MANSOC Officers in Manila. Though a bit expensive, I think it’s really worth. One thing I also realized… indeed, MANSOC is part of my family. I just wish the next time I watch this kind of event, the officers & advisers from other regions will also be on our side to make it more enjoyable.

I would like to thank the officers and staff of PAGCOR for hosting this kind of event that really braces the whole family and relieves stress/tensions among us. I still recall the last lines of the song that struck the hearts and minds of my kids: “Yeah… Magsama-sama tayo mag-relax & mag-enjoy.” Even foreigners were singing at that time using our dialect.

MANSOC not only experienced the enjoyment but also had the chance of rubbing shoulders with some of the elite individuals of our society. With these activities, our students will understand how PAGCOR manages its projects and distributes the proceeds to our less fortunate and underserved fellow citizens. For everyone’s information, PAGCOR also distributes and stretches their resources to the health sector, education, and other government sectors.

This show, I can say merits endorsements. Though the tickets are being sold expensively from 1,200 to 3,000 pesos, I should say it’s worth the pay.
